Love That Boy

This layout was done for the Scrap Like You Mean It challenge on UKS - to scrap in the morning. No problems there as I often scrap into the small hours. I also wanted to try out a layout to be used on a canvas, but wanted to see if it worked first. I used all my favourite things on this - felt, stitching, buttons, ric-rac, bling, scallops and colour. It also used only scraps.

Pose

This layout was done to combine two challenges on UKS.

The weekly challenge had to include a Photo that makes you laugh (Sophie with tongue out) -10pts, 5 of an embellishment (5 buttons) - 5pts, Something sparkly (Stickles on flowers) - 10pts, Oscar Wilde quote (To be natural is such a very difficult pose to keep up, from An Ideal Husband) -5pts.

I have also done this for the SLYMI challenge Wk 15 - Scrap on the Edge. Used scalloped card, doodled around edges of circles and inked all edges.

The papers used are from the American Craft 'Craft Fair' collection, Quote is printed onto Safmat and alphas are AC Thickers.

Photos are of my grandaughter Sophie taken last month.

When we were very young

This layout was for the weekly challenge on UKS - to use a book title, use earth tones, water photo and secret journalling. I've used a photo of Catherine and Sarah in 1983 at Hurst Castle, which was built as part of Henry8's coastal defences. The title is from the book by AA Milne. The photo is hinged on the LHS so journalling can be hidden underneath. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye Laundry Line range.
I've also combined this with the SLYMI Wk 14 challenge- to scrap something hidden.

Snow Day

This was done for the Scrap Like You Mean It challenge on UKS - to use the sketch. I've used papers by Heidi Swapp, Kaiser gems and lots of Stickles.
Photo is of the path at the back of my house in February on the first of the two snowy day s we had.

Here Comes the Bride LHS

I started this one last year as a class at Scrapper's Paradise but never finished it off. The original class LO had a very large 3 lettered title which I didn't think appropriate for this photo so I was a bit stuck on how to dfinish it off. I decided that it didn't actually need a title as it's going in the wedding album and so I've just added the orange strip, and cut out some circles and some timy butterflies from a 6x6" pad of the same papers that I already have. I've added a felt flower too. Papers are from the Basic Grey Ambrosia collection.
